anniemay 150 Posted May 16, 2013 I am one week post op today. I have had no issues with nausea pain or acid. I can get 60 grams of Protein daily with two premiers that I split in half. liquids are not an issue. I also have no problem with sipping. I am able to take a normal size. Somehow this doesn't seem right to me. I thought it would be much harder. Now the psychological part is harder than I anticipated.

Enjoy the fact that you do not have a lot of complications (or maybe any for that matter). The only thing I would caution you on is to not allow yourself to become too comfortable where you're like "I can have anything I want. Yay!! let's go for it!" lol...really, though. I'm like you & I not too long ago had to tell myself to stay focused. Don't feel guilty b/c it may come somewhat easy to you in some ways. You're fortunate!! & also, don't be too hard on yourself. Take one day at a time & enjoy the journey. Hope this makes sense & helps some.

O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted May 16, 2013 There are quite a few of us that experience NO restriction with liquids. It really does make recovery nice. I assure you, once you start eating dense Proteins YOU WILL NOTICE.

melody2 61 Posted May 16, 2013 you will notice a major difference once you begin eating Protein vs. drinking protein. your tummy will say, "whoa...wait a minute...not so fast...not too much at one time...hey, did you really chew that enough....."
