Kelsan 117 Posted May 16, 2013 I was sleeved 05/06 and the first four days were pretty rough for me. I even told someone I wish I hadn't done this to myself. But, now two weeks out, things are better and I feel better about my decision to have the surgery. I also felt a lot better just being home and in my own space! You'll pull through this, hang in there - we'll do it together!
magpie30 187 Posted May 16, 2013 I was sleeved March 6th and the first 2 weeks were the worst. As far as pain, the first few days were the worst, and i think i stopped taking pain meds altogether the end of the first week. I took them regularly the first 2 or 3 days, then, it was mostly at night, because laying down hurt to much, and i wasn't getting good rest sleeping sitting up on the couch. I didn't have much in the way of gas pain fortunately. I mostly felt tired and just wanted to sleep. After the first week i felt a lot better, but the second week was hard with the liquid diet, and head hunger and trying to get in all the Water and Protein etc. But after those first 2 weeks it started to get easier. Now I am 2 months out and doing great! I have no problems getting in my water or protein, i can eat most foods with no issue and i feel better than i have in years! Hang in there, it gets a LOT better!!!

shellsheck 11 Posted May 16, 2013 I was also sleeved on 5-13 and I came home 5-14. The only problems I have is drinking and maybe I am taking in to much, but it feels like a big gas bubble on the top. It sets there for a sec then fades away. I just drank my first cup of liquids without the bubble. I was sent home with a pain pump and removed it about 30 minutes ago. I did take liquid pain meds to help me sleep tonight, but going to try and get off that as well. Overall not a bad experience just kinda sore on top of stomach. tigerbelle 328 Posted May 17, 2013 I had that same gas bubble feeling right in between my breasts--mine sat there for more than a few seconds though...I started taking the PPI (Prevacid) that my dr had prescribed, and thank goodness I rarely have that any more...I do have to be careful that I don't drink too much at one time still; I am on the liquid diet for another few days
