My ten weeks is Monday and I am scared of the scale although I exercised a lot this week and increase Protein to 90-100 per Nut. I been in bed past two days as I have MS and the exercise was too much. 4 days in row and twice on Thursday . This is so frustrating.

Congrats on you weight loss Rockiagirl. What is tpn. I want to stay away from it.

TPN is total parental nutrition. It is given by some physicians to help patients who cannot absorb or cannot eat usually due to severe illness or complications of surgery. In my past practice I have noticed it is very rare for usual surgical patients to require TPN, so the chances of you requiring it are slim. In addition TPN is always administered through a very large central line IV and one is usually quite ill when they are needing this type of therapy. Hope that helps.

Wow, everyone is amazing, I haven't seem to have been able to lose as fast as most of you, but I'm moving along! I was sleeved April 10th, and I am at 41 pounds lost. I didn't do any pre-op dieting, so this is just all since surgery. I just really over the last two weeks have nailed down how to get all my Protein in and my Water and have started back at the gym.

I'm so jealous, only lost 25 since surgery and sleeve 4/22. Maybe I should take my Nut advice to stop reading this forum.

Happy for all others success.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
