I have my seminar tonight and I'm so excited... Or I was, but hubby really doesn't want me to have the surgery. I don't know what to do anymore I'm so torn.

I'm sorry he's not supportive. Maybe if you talk to him about why he's against it, you can address his concerns. Is he going with you to the seminar? My husband attended with me and was able to get his questions answered and help me choose a surgeon. Maybe involving him in the process (if you aren't already) would help. Good luck to you!!!

He is going with me. It's not that he isn't supportive I think it's more because he's scared. He's scared of the unknown and scared something will go wrong. I really hope tonight puts him at ease.

My husband, in no way wanted me to have this surgery! But I asked him please just come to the consultation with the surgeon with me.

After we left the surgeons office he knew everything he needed to know (including my true weight) he was able to have all his questions answered and has been my biggest supporter since :)

I'm glad he's coming tonight and good luck to you!

Well my husband had to work late, so he couldn't make it and he has to be at work at 4 am so by the time the seminar was over and I picked up my kids he was already asleep. He did text me during the seminar tho and ask how it was going... So at least he's trying to be supportive. I can't wait to talk to him about it. I'm so excited, but yet so scared at the same time to take this step.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
