Food suggestions for soft food diet?

Recommended Posts

eggs, tuna/shredded with mayo, cream of wheat, chili with finely grounded beef, canned peaches, applesauce, cheeses (no hard), spam/potted meat, any soups/stews.

Basically anything super moist, tender, and soft. Keep all those 3 adjectives in mind and you will be fine. If it is missing one of the 3 then don't eat it.

Congratulations! I am about two months ahead of you. Soft foods.... I did eat scrambled eggs, and also made quiches with cheese, finely ground sausage and bacon. I tolerated it very well, as long as I remembered to eat it ever so s l o w.... Ricotta cheese too. And a spoonful of Peanut Butter became a lollipop treat.

I also bought some chunky Soups (and stew), and put them in a mini processor for a split second, until they were soft and mixed, but not yet pureed. Those also worked for me. Also I could tolerate pork pulled from baby back ribs. It was very moist and went down easily. Gravy helps when eating chicken.< /p>

Many people eat tunafish, and also cottage cheese. Good Luck to you!

Boneless chicken from the crock pot cooked down with chicken broth was my staple. Sometimes I'd add a tbsp of lowfat sour cream, 2% shredded cheddar and some enchilada sauce. Yummo and it has ALOT of protein!
