Ivoryowl 13 Posted May 15, 2013 I want to feel good and to be able to do things again like walking, going the zoo, the beach, shopping with out having to use the store scooter. Looking forward to a surgery date. 1 NtvTxn reacted to this
NtvTxn 1,262 Posted May 15, 2013 I can't wait until next monday..this is going to be everything but easy! I just want to cry! But I woll do this! Just want to feel healthy and beautiful and wear all the clothes I've always just admired on the clothes racks! This surgery is the most exciting thing I've ever done for ME. It's been a wild ride but I've loved every single minute since I woke up in recovery!!! I had NO health issues, I'm not sure what difference that made with recovery, but I had no problems. I took pain meds only at night after I left the hospital, and only took them for ten days total. From the get go, I logged my food on line and weighed or measured my food when I'm at home. I still do this, it is habit, my normal. My new life.....and to me, it's fun. Get a disposable camera, have someone take a picture of you the night before surgery, then on your surgery 'date' every month for the first year. After the one year anniversary picture, take the camera and have it developed. Laying the pictures out, side by side and SEEING the transformation will take your breath away!!!! The most exciting thing for me is when I could see my collar bone!!!! I love to shop for clothes now, I can walk in and find cute, cute clothes, it is sooooo fun to shop now!!! Good luck! 6 Ms skinniness, FeeIsMe2, Ballermom and 3 others reacted to this
VSG_me 184 Posted May 15, 2013 I too felt just like you! I am now a little over 3 months out and let me tell you, it gets better and better! I agree with NtvTxn - from the day after surgery I've never had problems and loved my sleeve. Never regretted my decision at all. I've lost 41 lbs as of today (surgery date 1/29/13). It feels so good to grab cute clothes off the rack and go! Good luck with your surgery, success is closer than you know! 1 journeyRN reacted to this
Ms.AntiBand 2,984 Posted May 15, 2013 YES... Take pics! This will be so encouraging. Some of my encouraging moments are when I check the before and after pics on the forum. Amazing results are to be found there. Stay pumped and positive! This is something I have done for 5 months now and refuse to let anything get me down.
