srh3136 2 Posted May 14, 2013 I know they cut out that hormone but how come I crave EVERYTHING. And of course none of it is something I can have.
johnlatte 1,232 Posted May 14, 2013 The only hormone that gets removed partially is the one that causes the feeling of hunger. Cravings are a mental thing. The surgery won't take those a way. The hunger will return as well, for some, the further you out from surgery. The best thing you can do to beat the cravings is eat your dense Proteins and eat 5-6 small meals a day. Drink plenty of fluids and exercise. It will take some time for the cravings to get under control.
FeeIsMe2 508 Posted May 14, 2013 It's called head hunger -- that is a fight the surgery can't help you with-- it's up to your willpower to fight it! Good Luck!
