dstined4gr8tnes 65 Posted May 14, 2013 I notice that must sleeves are in the high 200's but is there anyone who started higher. My weight day off was 362 give or take a pound....my doctor told me the most common procedure for my weight was the bypass but the long term results are very much the same. Im 5'7" but I definitely strated off way bigger than some posts I see...just curious to know I'd I'm alone lol Dstined4gr8tnes 6 Ms.Nya, fit2Bme2014, Aggie72 and 3 others reacted to this

You are definitely not alone! My surgeon suggested bypass to me as well but I insisted on having the sleeve. 1 Aggie72 reacted to this

And I have lost over 100#. Honestly, I think it depends on the surgeon. Mine was suggesting the sleeve from the beginning. The results are pretty similar. 920amy 409 Posted May 14, 2013 It's not always about the total weight, take into account the height/weight ratio, and BMI, and you will find that even though some weighed less than you starting, they technically would have farther to go so to speak. My starting BMI was 46.9, and to get to an 'average' weight at 5'3", I have more to lose than someone who weighed 301 and is 5'8". Also, age and gender are big players too. There are many of us from all shapes and walks of life, so don't worry. You are not alone in anyway on this journey 1 Sharksgrl99 reacted to this
