Countrygrrl 450 Posted May 21, 2015 I started out over 360.. Not positive how much above but I dos I was 314 now I'm 254 5 months out. It's a lot of work but it's possible! It's so nice to be capable of doing healthy things now!
Jack Hollywood 20 Posted May 21, 2015 Great job Countrygrrl! I agree that it has been a lot of hard work. The sleeve is only a tool to use to help us succeed and without the proper state of mind our results would be much slower or we would just fail. I just passed 10 months out and I have lost 197 lbs. that was with the Dr wanting me to maintain my weight for 2 months. Keep up the great work, you are looking great each day, keep saying that. And hope to hear of more of your success. "Nothing tastes better than being healthy" Hollywood

candy32980 9 Posted May 22, 2015 Just curious. Because I'm 330 lbs I can not wear shoes with any heel ( it kills my feet). Has anyone had the same problem which has been resolved after losing weight ?
Countrygrrl 450 Posted May 22, 2015 yes yes and yes to the heel question. I love this benefit to weight loss

heynowkc 329 Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) @@WasBigInMaryland Wow!!! Congrats on that success!! I was 491 at my highest and 422 on surgery day (Dec 17 2014). I weigh in tomorrow for my weekly weigh-in and am hoping to hit 322 (100 lbs down from surgery!) this week. After that I have 3 more weeks until my 6 month anniversary so I can't wait to see how the next three weeks go! Crossing my fingers! May I ask how long ago you had surgery/how long it took you to get down to 220? Edited May 26, 2015 by heynowkc
Guest Posted May 27, 2015 heynowkc, I had my surgery in Dec. 2013 about 10 months later I was at 220. My doctor told me a was dropping weight quick. He told to have a chocolate bar now and then. I thought he was joking. I usually stay between 220 and 226 now a days
heynowkc 329 Posted May 27, 2015 @@WasBigInMaryland Wow that is very fast!!! I'd have to lose another 100 lbs in the next 5 (4.75) months to hit that loss in 10 months. Not sure I could do that too (your results are definitely not typical I am guessing!) but hey, I'd love to try! Hit my 100 lb mark since surgery today btw! Actually a little over. Yippee! laguerr13 993 Posted May 31, 2015 That is awesome to hear and very encouraging, before our daughter was born 7 yrs ago I was down 60 lbs to 340lbs then two years ago I was shocked, I weighed in at 400lbs, so last two years hovered around 380lbs, then when I started this journey was weighed two weeks ago at 362.2, now following my pre op diet and 11 days away, I think I will be down to between 348-354lbs, which will help me greatly with surgery and recovery, especially walking, thank you for your post, these forums really keep me upbeat

I am already off of diabetes medicines and looking to come off high blood pressure medicine in another two weeks. Get rid of Cpap in 2 months maybe when I get under 300. Co-morbidities dropping away as fast as my weight. Target weight, 233.
