nazerina77 19 Posted May 12, 2013 I have been doing the 6-month nutritional counseling and just found out that my insurance company doesn't require it...and I was already 3-months done. I'm excited (and nervous) to get the process moving along. Any advice for questions I should ask my surgeon or what next steps to expect? I have been researching the different procedures and I'm 99% settled on the gastric sleeve...unless my surgeon or insurance company change my mind.
nazerina77 19 Posted May 16, 2013 Just checking...any advice?
mattsbelly 76 Posted May 16, 2013 You should write down any questions you may have so you don't forget. My surgeon explained everything in detail so I didn't have too many questions. Ask what he requires you to do as far as a diet and what tests he needs you to do. I had my surgery 2 months ago and the sleeve is the best.
ShrinkyDinkMe22 376 Posted May 16, 2013 I would definitely do a search in the search option and look for "questions to ask surgeon". Something to that effect. I bet a whole bunch of posts will pop up for you.

I am meeting with the office's nurse practitioner to discuss tests they need me to do, then the surgeon and psychologist next week. I have intentions of making a list, but you're right - I should start the list now so that I don't forget any of my questions.
