suzbredo 35 Posted May 13, 2013 I think that accurately describes how I've been acting too! I probably talk about it too much and think about it even more. But it's the first time I have ever felt like I was truly empowering myself to change my life and my health - like taking control of my weight rather than letting it control me - which is how I have always felt! 2 Mrs.RRn and AthinnerAmy reacted to this

I truly believe that with such a big decision ahead it's totally normal and is to be expected. I actually watch and read the post and videos with my mom( my number 1 supporter!) 4 Blessedfun, newlife27, Mrs.RRn and 1 other reacted to this

domi366 4 Posted May 19, 2013 I just recently became obsessed. I think it is now becoming real. So now I have 3 weeks to learn everything I need to know. I am such a procrastinator . This forum has all ready helped ease my mind do much! Thank you to all if you for sharing your stories and tips .
Vixynne 695 Posted May 19, 2013 I've definitely been obsessed--but knowledge is power, right? I guess I'm obsessing because I want to know as much as I can about the things I can control (like how the diets work post-op, and Vitamin needs, things to have on hand when I get home, etc.), because I know there may be lots of things I can't control (surgery complications, healing time). This forum has been a huge source of inspiration and information--I don't know what I'd do without it! 1 Mrs.RRn reacted to this

makemyownluck 785 Posted May 19, 2013 So, how are you feeling now? I really hope your well. I am doing really well! I don't know why I didn't see these tags I got from this thread til now - but I'm 17 days post op and feeling fine. The only thing I can't quite do yet is sleep in my side. I'm still sleeping upright also. I can sleep in my back, but it makes me back ache (which is why I'm usually a side sleeper), so I still sleep inclined. Can't wait to get comfy in my bed like before... I think I'll be ready in a week or so. I also get a little ache in my upper left incision (the big one, where the stomach came out) when I stretch, cough or sneeze. Not painful, just a dull ache for a second or two. I think that's gonna be the last one to heal up. Otherwise, I'm okay with bending over, sitting, standing, crouching... as far as diet, I'm on soft foods. I've tolerated everything fine! No nausea, vomiting, or pain when eating. I'm getting about 1000 calories a day and 90g of Protein.

buplee 556 Posted May 19, 2013 I was obsessed until I was sleeved in February. I researched everything about the sleeve. I scoured the web looking at the various ways different surgeons performed the surgery, and watched videos of the procedure. My wife was just as obsessed and would stay up late looking at recipes, Protein products, Vitamins etc.it all worked because I am now 60lbs lighter and shrinking. Good luck to you. superstarsandi 34 Posted May 19, 2013 Yes I totally feel obsessed and my husband has been so good but sometimes I can tell he is like, are we taking about this again. Ha! I guess I just am so excited and he is one of the few that knows about it at this point so he hears the most. 2 Mrs.RRn and ninanew reacted to this

AutumnPunkin 313 Posted May 25, 2013 Why do you have to wait so long?? I have to wait so long because the surgeons in my area have a very long wait-list and I cannot afford to travel
