I will have had been sleeved one-year on May 15th. I have lost 47 pounds. I am now starting to feel very bloated, but have not gained or lost, any more weight for about 6 months. Has anyone experienced the same thing? I will say I believe I can eat more, not that eating is a happy experience for me. I'd rather eat creamy things like Yogurt, Cream Cycles (ice-cream) and Cookies seem to go down well. Meals are not happy for me and I don't eat but about five bites at any one meal.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you - Mamafox

How much do you still have to go to goal? What are you eating in a day? Are you exercising? Did you follow up with your NUT at any point since you've stalled?

I'm sorry you're not getting what you wanted out of surgery. I hope you can get back on track!

Are you still tracking all you eat?

When did you last see the NUT?

Are you getting your Fluid intake?

Are you exercising?

Are you getting your Vitamins and nutrients?

All these things do have an impact. What is it that you are sitting down to eat that leaves you only having 5 bites?

I wish I had the answers to the above posters. It would truly be helpful. I would suggest going back to basics. Meaning Protein first. Check out LilMissDiva's Basic Bootcamp. It helps to restart. :)

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
