Arts137 1,811 Posted May 11, 2013 Are you otherwise OK? If vomiting a lot you might get dehydrated which is not good. Call the surgeon or PCP. I have a 'melt under tongue" Protein pump inhibitor (PPI) (like pepcid). And they have alternatives for pain relief, all the way to suppositories... (PS, some pain relief things can make you nauseaus by themselves). Good Luck!
Mickie Vest 29 Posted May 11, 2013 I was nauseous when taking my meds in the hospital (not just pain meds). I started taking them with a drink they gave me in the hospital and now that I'm at home I take them with a bit of sugar free yogurt.
MichiganChic 3,262 Posted May 11, 2013 You might want to give your sugeon a call. Liquid vicodin can be hard to tolerate. I had it in the hospital, and it made me naseous. I was able to tolerate pills better. Maybe your surgeon can prescribe something else?
SabrinaM 20 Posted May 11, 2013 So far today I haven't felt nauseous. I'm pretty sore but not taking any meds at all. We will see how the rest of the day goes 1 Arts137 reacted to this
