1 egg plus egg whites

Yogurt

1/2 fruit

lunch 30 mins

Deli meat

Whole grain or wheat English muffin 1/2 or maybe whole

Slice of cheese

Veggie

dinner 45 mins

chicken or red meat 4-5 ozs

Red potato

Veggies

Rice or Pasta

Always around 80-100g Protein

Always add 1 Protein shake after workouts

Sleeved 12-26-12

Down 127 pounds 81 post opt

Sleeved May 16, 2011. Maintaining at goal (135 lbs. , 5'6" for 14 months)

Breakfast: 1 cup Fage 0 Greek Yogurt with 2 T. Whipped Cream cheese and splenda, topped with 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, thawed and mixed with Splenda to make them syrupy.

snack mid-morning: 1 slice whole wheat bread, 2 oz. low fat ham

Lunch: Southwest salad (1/2 cup loosely packed mixed greens, 1/3 cup black Beans, 1/4 cup corn, 2 oz. chicken mixed with 2 T. BBQ Sauce, 1/4 small avocado, 1/2 oz. low fat shredded cheddar cheese, 6 cherry tomatoes, 1/8 cup celery, topped with 2 T. lowfat ranch dressing

Afternoon snack: 1 oz. pretzels, 1/2 apple

Dinner: 1/2 cup brown rice, 3 oz. shrimp, 1/4-1/2 cup mixed veggies

After dinner snack: Hot chocolate

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
