I had my surgery on April 30th. In one week I lost 15 pounds. For the past three days I have been at a standstill. Any suggestions? I know the surgery worked, but I still get nervous something won't work lol ridiculous I know.

I was also sleeved on the 30th and my main focus is getting my Protein in. I am not really worried about the scale because I know it will move. It's new and it just takes time to get use to. I am still getting use to only eating 3 oz of Soup if that. But my goal is to get that protein down because it is so important. So don't get nervouse just continue to follow your doctors orders and you will be just fine. You are moving at a great pace. Don't stress, you made the right decision.

I am not supposed to weigh at home. At first it was difficult but now I am used to it. Everyone's weight can go up and down so once a month is good measurement. I have read where some people have their spouse hid their scales :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
