JennyBeth 127 Posted May 9, 2013 Did anyone ever have to have a stent put in if it was discovered you have a stricture? I have an upper endoscopy done tomorrow and this could be a possibility. I'm really nervous about this, but I know I can't go on continuing to feel how I've been feeling the past couple of weeks.

arukind 2 Posted May 9, 2013 I had a stent placed 3 days after my vertical sleeve for a stricture. Immediate relief came with the stent. I had it in for 1 month and felt pretty much constant nausea. I then had immediate relief when it was removed. I am now 9 months out and doing well. I have lost 110 pounds and feel great. My only real complaint is heartburn without medication. This is being followed by a thoracic specialist and my weight loss surgeon and is do weakening of the GE Junction from surgery. Good luck, this will get easier.
