Omg :( Tell me it ALL grew back' date=' and it's better than ever...[/quote']

It will come back! It's temporary.. Better than ever? We shall see. I too, love my hair.. So I know it's hard to think about it thinning but its really worth it for the trade off of weight loss.

Hi Ladies,

I read an article saying that when we lose hair 2-2.5 months out its because of the anesthesia.... Hairloss due to Vitamin or protien deficiency is at month 4. Just wanted to share that!

I can say I've taken all my Vitamins, supplements and Protein and well.....

As a matter of fact I just had my blood work done

Everything's good.

But how about you other ladies are you "skimping" on your stuff?

I must say though after all the joking about it.

In the grand scheme of things? It's a small temporary price to pay :)

Mine started at 2.5 months and I'm almost out 4. I've had no problems getting in all my vits and Protein. I'm just praying it stops soon before its all gone! Lol! I do have some new tiny hairs along my hairline on my forehead and temples so that's good and gives me hope! :)

I'm sitting in the salon getting my hair colored and cut. Yes, Hair loss is horrible when it starts and you think you're never gonna have normal hair again, But I am here to tell you, it does grown back and mine is thick and full of body. So now me and my hair have great body!!

I started losing at 3 months. Im 5 months out now and its still really bad =( I hope it stops around 8 months like others have said, but I was taking Biotin a year before my surgery it just makes it grow longer, not thicker. I had really thick hair, now its so thin and others have made comments on how this it is (annoying!) lol anyway I bought Nanogen its a powder you sprinkle on your head and the fibers grab onto your hair strands so your scalp doesnt show. I like it so far =)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
