MaryPrisonSkin 3 Posted May 8, 2013 I just met with Dr. Cirangle yesterday and decided on the sleeve. Anyone know the out of pocket cost or can I get a loan for the 10% not covered? Which is a good financing company to go through? If anyone has any advice I'd greatly appreciate it. Don't wanna get too excited if it's out of reach. rebecca_dsu 241 Posted May 8, 2013 In my financing research I found it cheaper to go through my local bank (Regions) with a non-secured personal loan. The interest rate was lower, and a lot of the medical financing companies sound all good with their offers until they mention the "small" loan processing fee of $800 - $1,000 (on top of the interest you'll be paying). My bank's fee was $100.
MaryPrisonSkin 3 Posted May 9, 2013 Thanks good idea. Turns out I was gonna need a loan for the 5 year after care program that's not covered under insurance. So Dr. Cirangle will not do surgery unless you commit to his 5 year plan which cost 5,750$ up front before surgery... I'm going somewhere else. And my appointment was in a hotel room which was creepy to begin with.
Kami63 215 Posted May 10, 2013 Wow. Sounds fishy. Good idea to go to another surgeon. Good luck! Oh btw they have credit cards like care credit that you can maybe qualify for. They are all over the Internet.
