Guest Posted May 8, 2013 I got my labs done again and it looks like my LFT's have tripled! They were high to begin with. The only thing I can think of is that I had my blood work done right after I got over the flu. I'm also anemic so I will get some meds for that. I'm just curious what can cause such a high LFT? I will get the exact number when I go to medical records. Finishing up my preop appointment now.
makemyownluck 785 Posted May 8, 2013 It can mean so many things, really. Depending on how high, it could be fatty liver, hepatitis, an abscess - has your doctor recommended any other testing to confirm why it's so high? Have you had any alcoholic beverages lately? Guest Posted May 8, 2013 My doctor said he's not sure but I'm doing a hep A screening. I have not had any alcoholic beverages since I've been sick w the flu. :/ Looks like the AST is 106 and the ALT is 192.
