Lower BMI Bandsters!

I'm still in Pre-Pre OP. I have my consultation on tomorrow. Then I would just need to get the insurance approval or the Plastic comes out, either way it's getting done. I just would prefer insurance to pay.

I went to the Thread for the final "GOAL", but I think I should be rewarded for every 10 pounds I loose.

I stopped getting my hair done - just pulling it in a ponytail. I stopped get my nails & toes done. I have only bought bigger clothes so I have tons of clothes the size that I was (and trying to get back to). So I figured clothes wouldn't be much of a reward.

I'm going to change my signature to reflect my goals and updated information. I have time ALONE - no kids no husband - It's just me and the 3 four legged kids.

Great!! How is your pre op going?????

My BMI was 33 though I had other things also (hypertension, sleep apen ia,) I was banded 11/2/06 and have only lost about 8 lbs. I just had my first fill so we'll see I too am struggling with exercising because of the cold weather and distance from Gym but am working on my treadmill and rebounder.

What is your diet like? We are starting a South Beach Diet challenge on Saturday. It is technically called a "diet" but goes hand in hand with the banster rules we are supposed to be following anyway!!!

I also need to get my butt moving and get it in the gym!!!

Welcome to our little corner of the world!!!

:biggrin1:

julestwu,

I am doing much better today. I actually felt a lot better by last night. Took it easy yesterday but went jogging today and I feel really good. And I am very motivated to stay following the bandster rules.

Thanks.

Audree,

I am not going to sign up for South Beach, but I am going to be doing Susan Beach right along with you guys. If I call it a diet I will freak out and probably go eat an entire cake or something.

So I am shadowing you but not actually doing diet part.

Well I just got my call about my consultation. Just called to confirm time and co-pay. I haven't been told to eat or do anything different yet that is why I said I'm in the PRE-Pre OP. I think once insurance gets approved then I may be told to liquid or something. I don't know. I'm just ready-My husband is ready, he said all you do is talk about that band - I'll be glad when you get it. He is very supportive though, just a comedian.

He called and said to get dressed we're going to lunch. So when he got here I was hiding the computer needless to say I wasn't dressed. He layed across the bed and I was getting dressed. I looked at him and asked "Baby got Back" while trying to stick out my butt (although there is really on curve there). He looks and shakes his head no with a smile. I pulled my butt in and stuck out my back, and asked same thing and again he smiled and said shook his head yes.

Some women would be mad, but I wasn't I love my husband honesty - because in a couple of months when I loose some of this weight and ask the same question he's going to say yes first then no to the same questions!!!

I want my band. I want my band. I want my band. I want my band.

Great!! How is your pre op going?????

could you check with your bank or credit union? there are loans for less then perfect credit. also, check with your doctor and see who they fiance with. you can apply to all of them and then call your credit report company and tell them to lump all the inquiries together being as it is for the same procedure. (that way your credit rating won't go down). my doctor is letting me split the payment between 2 credit cards... you'd have to check with who you are interested in going with, but that is a good option!

Silary do you know of a good loan place for bad crediet ?I am getting desparate? summer is coming.

Thats okay!!! We all know how we work and what motivates us! You can still post your stats and stuff. Maybe you can have the daily challenge of the un-diet or something like that where people can be accountalbe if they want to be.

What do you think?

I'm so excited for you that I wrote it on my calendar - I don't know if you should try to eat right or try to eat what you can??? I'm so on the fence. I know I will be restricted with what I can eat, so I've been eating different things that I know I won't be able to eat later. But when I'm not hungry but that voice in my head says "I'm hungry feed me Veronica" - I grab a Soup @ Hand or more Water. Did anyone else have this problem?

Q: What did you do the week before surgery? Did you eat all you could or did you try to eat correct?:hungry:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
