Is that your leg or a marble column?

Just have to give kudos to my husband fiddleman who has been working out at crossfit for about 2 months or so now twice a week. He just came back from a workout and I touched his upper leg- it felt like it had no give in it whatsoever! I seriously couldn't believe his leg was that hard and had to keep touching it to be sure. He's got his college cycling legs back! Plus he getting nicely defined pecs- he's never had that! Crossfit really does get your body into shape and resculpted. :) :) :). Happy wife! I can't wait to have my surgery and be able to do workouts like that!

How sweet is that?! What a nice compliment!

My suggestion to you would be to start working out now, if you aren't already. Walking is an easy way to start. You can even be lifting weights. Your recovery will probably be better if you are already exercising, and it doesn't hurt to get that muscle to start developing now, it will make a difference once you start losing after surgery.

Thanks for the tip sarsar! I get a daily workout in the garden, weeding, hoeing, digging, pushing wheelbarrows loaded with compost up my hilly yard, etc. I'm a stay a home wife and garden for about 2-3 hours a day usually (at least during late winter & spring). Other times of the year it's about an hour- we can garden 12 months out the the year in the Seattle area if you are a hardcore gardener. :) I can lift a 80lb bag of concrete off the Home Depot shelves above my head no problemo! My sleep study nurse said I had some of the best muscle tone she'd ever seen. I'm actually worried about losing a lot of my hard earned muscle during the early recovery period. Sniff sniff! My husband will have to bolt me down so I don't try to do too much in the garden too soon! Lol.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
