axd0424 33 Posted May 7, 2013 I keep seeing this pop up in the threads. What are slider foods?
makemyownluck 785 Posted May 7, 2013 Slider foods, to weight loss surgery patients, are soft simple processed carbohydrates of little or no nutritional value that slide right through the stomach without providing nutrition or satiation. Crackers, chips, pretzels, Cookies, cakes, candy, etc 6 Mocha-NJ, catheryn3, Ms skinniness and 3 others reacted to this

axd0424 33 Posted May 7, 2013 Why is a salad called a slider food?
MrsG 329 Posted May 8, 2013 That's true for the most part but my biggest slider food is a mixed green salad. Me too! I'm amazed at how much salad I can eat. It's better if I add chicken then I get "full" but if its just salad it slides right thru.

Weird cause a green salad fills me up like I just ate the whole Thanksgiving turkey. We are all different I guess. 1 Sleevedintx reacted to this

I can eat upwards of ten loose cups of salad... about 100g worth. chicken it the food that fills me up quickly. Its odd that I can eat about 4-5oz of sirloin but only a few bites of chicken.< /p>
SMO 193 Posted May 8, 2013 Most Proteins I can eat 3 oz or so. Beans are the odd thing for me. 2 tablespoons and my stomach feels like it us going to burst.

My slider food is popcorn so I stay away or only eat on occasion like once a month. Chicken is between 3-5 oz for me.
