I've been hitting the weights since my 6 month pre op diet & I think it has paid off in my arms. I may be able to avoid plastics there! Although it I unavoidable for my stomach & my breasts. Going to reserve judgement on my thighs for a little while longer.

Sleeve date: 5-18-12

Corset Trunkplasty scheduled: 5-28-13

Please ignore my wet hair in this picture!

Looking good! The corset thing....what is that? Is it for the torso/tummy area?

It's from under breasts straight down & from hip to hip. It gets the loose skin & fat from upper, middle & lower stomach areas. The doctor estimates 15-18 pounds on mine.

Thank you all! I originally thought I would need them done but at this point I think the scar would be pointless.

I'm having it done in Lexington KY. The whole procedure including surgeon, anesthesia & facility was $8600. It's a 6 hour surgery.

Unfortunately only a oanelectomy was covered by my insurance which ended up looking kinda choppy to me as it leaves all the skin above the belly button. Basically it just uncovers the pubis.

How do they look flat against your body? That's a huge concern for me. I would love to go sleeveless. Arms' date=' not tummy. HA![/quote']

When my arms are down, they look way better. I just took the picture to show "batwing"

..what machines do you do for your arms? or free weights? pounds lifted? reps? I hate my batwings - I had them when I was skinny & now they are even worse....

You look great!

This is what I did at the gym yesterday. I use the machines.

I do 4 sets of 15-25 on each machine.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
