cms213 119 Posted May 8, 2013 2 weeks of full liquids (shakes) totally 800-1000 calories a day. That was by far the hardest - much worse than the post op diet for me. I'm hoping the pre op diet will be harder than post op as far as food goes. however I'm trying to focus on making changes like taking one small bite and putting my fork down and really chew it and no liquids while eating. I think pre op would definetly be harder because you are running around doing your usual routine...going to work, going to the gym, etc. takes energy... however when you are recuperating you are laying around at home not working up any energy so your probably not getting hungry. rebecca_dsu 241 Posted May 8, 2013 I was told to do 1 week, low carb diet.... but the calories do not matter. (they don't want me to cheat...so they say eat low carb to my hearts content, but keep it low carb). And drink water...
