My Dr told me to start taking Vitamins and supplements 10 days out. Today is my first day and I got the Multivitamin down fine. I tried crushing the others and putting them in my Protein drink..... Disgusting!!!!! Any suggestions?

Did your doctor tell you you have to crush them? If so, then follow his orders, if not then perhaps you don't need to? I've been swallowing all my pills including my tablets and they go down great.

For the first few months I took liquid Vitamin supplements and it was nasty. I take sub lingual B12, And calcuim chews and those are fine. At 6 months out I I.take chewable centrium multi vitamin, It still is not my favorite but is tolerable.

The Dr suggested crushing them but I don't know how that's gonna work out. I'm kinda nervous about swallowing them! I haven't had anything solid yet. I guess I could try applesauce, like a baby haha

ThAts funny I was told that I could take flintstones. Walgreens had a good liquid Vitamin I like. I think Walmart has it to. Only thing is you have to supplement your Iron.< /p>

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
