Awesome! I have to get cracking on that -- just got my date, which is August 5th. I have heard it takes about 6 weeks to get it back.

So I went and got my passport picture taken and filed my application! In my eyes that makes it official! Yay for moving in a positive direction!!!

I won't be able to get mine because even if I do everything online, I still have to go to the post office just to sign the documents in front of someone and they make you set up an appointment with them. Unfortunately their appointments are 3 week wait! Then another 3 to 5 weeks to receive the passport. That will be about 2 months away and I plan on going 1st week of June. I really hope I don't get held up when I leave Mexico. I do have my birth certificate and a couple of photo id's (drivers license work id etc.).

You can expedite your passport and get it in just a few days...

Also, call other post office locations...their appointment dates vary.. dramatically...some may get you in within a day or two..might mean driving a little farther but..worth it...

And to leave Mexico, you at least have to have PROOF that you have applied for the passport, so please go ahead and do that.

Call around every post office is different...another post office may get u in quick. And expediting gets it here rather quickly. And also our courthouse now does passport applications. Go to the passport website and find out where other locations are. They are cracking down on the passports now....

I've found a passport office that does walk ins. Will be going there next week. I called several post offices and they are all quoting 3 weeks or more before I can even get an appointment!

I got passports for two of my kids and my partner for the cruise we just went on. We applied the first week in March and the passports came in 2 weeks two days. And we did not order them expedited, which usually takes 2 weeks, not a couple of days.

One gal leaving with our group April 2 did not have a passport and it did not hold us up getting across the border.

I'm going through rushmypassport.com. I am finishing all the paperwork today and have to go get my photo taken. I was not aware that you could go, with only having PROOF of application. That's interesting.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
