Protein bars are usually ok when you are cleared for all foods. They are good for when you are in a pinch but not something good for everyday.

I keep one around when I'm out traveling around and may not have any other choices that are good.

I had my first Protein bar at 5 months post-op.

The biggest thing is you need to be cleared for whole foods.

I had my first one at 2 months. I was eating regular food at one week out but my NUT wanted us to hold off on Protein bars til 2 months. And Laura said the same thing my NUT said which is they are ok once in a while but not to be eaten every day.
