Brenda0928 145 Posted May 26, 2013 I guess all doctors are different because i never had a EGD or a endoscopy. The Egd (aka endoscopy or scope) are standard routine for every patient for MY dr so he knows exactly what he will be getting into. Yes, different drs require different tests. Good luck! Brenda0928 145 Posted May 26, 2013 I SHOULD be a June sleever...got verbal approval, but waiting on the letter-written approval- before my date can be scheduled...they said they schedule about 2 weeks out from the date the approval is received, so that would be mid June. I HOPE!! 1 christina0613 reacted to this

Prettynpink1982 103 Posted May 26, 2013 As we all embarked on this journey we go through a whirlwind of emotions. Happy then scared. Anxious then thrilled. Hesitant then super sure. Prepared then not prepared enough. But we are READY! Ready to be healthy. Ready to love our bodies. Ready to be free. Ready for the OMG moments ahead. Ready for that wow factor when we see old friends. Ready for the new me. Ready to get this show on the road. 8 shelly85, SlimDreams, FindingElise and 5 others reacted to this

nursesettie 85 Posted May 26, 2013 I did not get one either. I am self pay and I guess that is not something my DR does. My son and his wife did not do one either. They are doing great. She had hers two years ago and my son did his in March. 1 Brenda0928 reacted to this
Brenda0928 145 Posted May 27, 2013 My doc said it was because I still have my gallbladder. He wants to make sure it's fine before the surgery. If it's making stones then it will be taken out as well. Oh ok, my dr is just taking it out at the same time as my sleeve to prevent future stones and other problems with it...

mydetoxnurse 53 Posted May 27, 2013 Congrats!! My surgeon told me after my egd that I have "a really large stomach" I laughed and said "I know that is why I am having the surgery" he laughed too....he meant the inside of the stomach was huge and explains why my stomach growls all the time! Good luck!! Lol ...thanks ... 1 Brenda0928 reacted to this
