JoiaRox 430 Posted June 14, 2013 Have a popsicle question....do the popsicles melt b4 u finish them since u have to go slower, or do u just let them melt and use a spoon? I've been eating mine as I would have pre-op, although I do go a little slower. I tend to let any pieces that come off melt in my mouth before swallowing. But, I was given ice chips in the hospital post-op, so the same concepts apply! 2 Dee White and Brenda0928 reacted to this
H&H 13 Posted June 14, 2013 Are you having any troubles getting fluids down? I get a weird feeling every time i take a sip I get that same weird feeling. My doctor said it was just spasms. So he told me to take the liquid Loratab twice a day to help get the fluids down

Brenda0928 145 Posted June 15, 2013 Good luck to you! Are you required to do this pre op liquid diet? If so how has it gone for you? Yes, I started officially on Wed, but actually started replacing one meal per day a week ago Wed and have now lost 7 pounds since then! I am lucky with my pre op diet though, I have 2 Protein Shakes per day...breakfast and lunch, then a healthy meal for dinner....meaning 4-6 oz lean meat and a veggie or fruit.I fill the gaps and growls with Water and crystal light. Tonight I had a sugar free fat free popsicle after dinner though....so far so good. 2 vsgBrook2013 and SheWins1 reacted to this

It is where your stomach Does not digest food anymore. It is a problem associated with diabetes. I also have a super pubic catheter because diabetes ruined my bladder. I also have a few other problems associated with diabetes. I also have Chron' s, FIBROMYALGIA, lupus. I've been sick for a few years and this operation will help with my quality of life. 1 Brenda0928 reacted to this

getlownurse 105 Posted June 15, 2013 Looking for some advice here. I woke up yesterday with an insanely hurting wisdom tooth. Hurts to swallow, can't open my mouth very wide, tooth kind of swollen. Having my surgery in 4 days. I WILL have this surgery. I'm concerned about this tooth though. Will this affect anything? I haven't been taking anything for it and I do have a dental appointment in a few weeks. This is making me nervous. Why does this have to happen now? Ugh 1 Brenda0928 reacted to this
taurabird 142 Posted June 15, 2013 This sets u up for an increased risk of infection. I would be upfront with the surgeon so u can weigh the increased risk. 4 Dee White, busybeingme, neneh_vsg and 1 other reacted to this
