WorkItOutWoman 185 Posted May 5, 2013 You can have anything you want as long as you are willing to "pay" for it 1 Nuchnuch reacted to this
MIJourney 490 Posted May 5, 2013 I'm still pre-op but just ate one of my pre-diet Snacks which is a large chocolate chip cookie from my Drs office. It's 165 cal and 14 g of Protein for the 1 cookie. I don't know if that's something that would work for you at your stage. I see them on Nashuanutrition website for 11.99/box of 7. They are 9.50/box where I get them. They are not quite like I would make from stratch but really not bad. Total carb is 14g/dietary Fiber 1g/sugars 5g

lilbearzmom 584 Posted May 5, 2013 Sure you can, if you are cleared for all foods. Just don't make it a habit. Treats are fine in moderation. There are also lots of good sugar free things. Atkins makes a line of treats that are low carb, low sugar, and surprisingly good. -Kendra 1 Kelsan reacted to this
kshepa 77 Posted May 6, 2013 I am 1 year out, 120 gone, 10 more to goal. I eat a small slice of sugar free pie whenever this urge overcomes me. Only when someone brings it into my home, though or when at a restaurant. I will not buy or make one for fear of all too real temptation when I have a whole pie in front of me!! And even if I know it would make me sick if I overindulgded, I may find myself eating slivers over time and finish the whole pie by myself....not happening. I must always be one step away from my food addiction. But, with all that being said, I love sugar free fruit pie. Don't care about Cookies or cake, though. Good luck
Taradawn15 148 Posted May 6, 2013 There's also a ton of Healthier baked good recipes online that have added Protien. I made some really yummy Cookies with pumpkin and chocolate chips in it. The great thing is it only made 8 cookies so my family all hd one and took one for a snack the next day so they where not hanging around tempting me to have more than 1. Good luck

courtoomp 107 Posted May 6, 2013 I say go for it...but just a little bit! I have a piece of dove dark chocolate every day, sometimes two. It keeps my cravings at bay and feels like a small, individually packaged indulgence. I also have Fiber one chocolate chip Cookies sometimes. 90cals and 5 g fiber with a little Protein. Also I get kashi granola bars and will have one on days I haven't had many carbs. But mainly if I want something sweet I have something sweet, preferably something small or when out sharing with friends. And I always log it. I think problems really start when you 'lie' to yourself and don't record every drop. But that's just me and recording food doesn't feel like a diet anymore...just a way of life. FromFlabToFab 268 Posted May 6, 2013 I load up on the Kellogg fiber plus caramel coconut fudge bars when I can find them. They might just be a fancy candy bar but they beat eating a box of Cookies or a cupcake and they hit the sweet tooth and make u feel full too. They taste like the girls scout Samoa cookies
keldolbeth 262 Posted May 6, 2013 Check out Bariatric Foodie (google it). It's a WLS cooking blog. She has a recipe index with lots of low carb Desserts, some with lots of Protein even. I've made a few of hers and they are great! I've also found good ones on Pinterest. And I occasionally have sugar free candy or Cookies. I have a sweet tooth too! LipstickLady 25,682 Posted May 6, 2013 Fiber One chocolate Chip Cookies are good. They are HUGE, so it could be a two or three day treat.
