Dobeigh 69 Posted May 5, 2013 At about 2 1/2 weeks but the waistband hurt so I only wore them a few hours at a time. Me too. I wore jeans about a week and a half after surgery. I was super sore!!!
lwilliams65 102 Posted May 5, 2013 I wore jeans about 2 weeks after surgery but wearing bra was a whole different story. I couldn't wear a bra longer than an hour for over a month. Horrible. Wear what makes you comfortable. Dresses and spandex were are life savers 1 Dobeigh reacted to this

MichiganChic 3,262 Posted May 5, 2013 I wore them home from the hospital. For some reason, I never had much incisional or abdominal pain.
vegasneon 181 Posted May 7, 2013 Ok, you younger ladies or any ladies that are more in tune with fashion. How weird would leggings look on a 54 year old fat woman with a dress? I only see 6 year olds in leggings but I see skinny chicks in skin tight pants that are like leggings. With a dress they should end under your knee right? I just cant bare my fat white legs to the public.

I think of those as more something for fall/winter, but honestly, I think anything goes--I would go with whatever makes you feel comfortable. Or you could get some opaque type hose. RCN 25 Posted May 7, 2013 Has anyone tried wearing Spanx post op? To try to minimize sagging? I know that when ppl get Lipo they are required to wear girdles after to keep the skin from sagging? Sent from my iPhone

Sent from my iPhone I have thought about this too. I'm concerned for the pain since I can't bend or contort right now to get in them. I'm thinking it may be a good idea though. 1 RCN reacted to this

As long as the dress suits your style I'm sure you could pull it off
jensjoy28 351 Posted May 7, 2013 Vegasneon...if you are handy with a sewing machine maybe you want to convert a couple pairs of your jeans to the "pregnancy-style" ones with the stretchy panel around belly...I had a former boss that did this while she was pregnant...imagine it would be handy in this situation as well
