At 4 months mine started coming out like crazy!

And it lasted until recently (almost 6 months)

When I put my hair in a ponytail or up there is so much less of it! But it has slowed way down now do I'm hopeful it will come back at some point :)

I collect hairballs on a daily basis at 4 months out. I have always been a shedder, but right now it's like that post-partum Hair loss I dealt with 8 years ago. Not fun.

lol i lose that much hair every time i shower! I also have super thick curly hair, but for me losing that much is normal, even before surgery!

I am losing so much that I am going to cut it all off. Living with short or bald is better than the horror of a hairball like that coming out every day. My hair was long healthy and with beautiful goldilocks. It will grow back. I have an emotional breakdown every time I brush or shower and gather up the hair to throw it away. I need to remove the torment and I know it will grow back later

My hair is thin in the middle and really dull. I had hair lost on and off for sometime now between postpartum s and a knee surgery. But this seem

Different and super dull.

My hair is almost to my waist so the hair balls are more like hair meteors. I try not looking at what I pull out of my brush.

This too will pass.. Yep. ;D

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
