I have never had a bladder infection in my entire life, but I think I might have one now. Could this be a side effect of the sleeve? The symptoms I am experiencing are a slight burning sensation right at the spot of urination. After sitting for awhile, when I stand up I feel the sensation to urinate and a little burning, but when I try to urinate it is difficult. This does not happen all the time. Day before yesterday was when it started, yesterday I was fine and now today it is starting again. Should I see a doctor or will it possibly go away? I am getting around 50 ounces of liquid in per day.

Cranberry juice helps this. Before I head to the doctor for this I get low calorie cran-grape and drink about 1/2 bottle over a 24 hour period and most always clears up for me.

Cranberry juice is definately the best thing. Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry has the least amount of sugar/carbs in it. (the Diet version, not the Light)

It is not a side effect of Sleeve. It is a bacterial infection and can also happen after sex or having a cathetor. I had chronic bladder infections as child but grew out of them at some point. I haven't had one in a couple decades I don't think. Lots of Water and/or cranberry juice can clear it up. If it lasts more then 4 or 5 days or becomes too painful, seek medical assistance to get a minor antibiotic.

I would definitely go to the doctor and get antibiotics. Cranberry will ease the symptoms but probably not the infection.

I agree w/Min. The first one i ever got was in my late teens. I thought it would just go away. But when my mom asked if my urine was cloudy & i said yes, she said thats pus from inside your bladder. Go to the dr! :o

Ive only ever had one 1

other time. The antiobiotics give you quick relief
