DeLarla 22 Posted July 23, 2004 Hi Lisa Lee, I'm Lisa B. This has nothing to do with your pre-op fast, but I noticed something interesting while I was doing liquids so I thought this might be a good place to share. When I was on liquids, I figured I was taking in so few calories that I'd shed weight like crazy. But then I counted the calories in everything I was drinking, and I was taking in 1600 calories of liquids in one day! I was having juice, chocolate milk, tea with honey, Jello, popsicles, an occasional shake, blended Soups, mash-potato Soup, etc. When I calculated all those calories, I decided to cut back on sugar so I bought 3 boxes of sugarfree popsicles and one box regular. I mixed them all in a bowl in the freezer and just picked randomly - even the sugarfree are good, but getting that additional sweet & naughty one is a treat. I also started mixing apple juice with cranberry, then diluting it with Water and watering down my Soups a little.
New Hope 37 Posted July 23, 2004 Lisa, please find out from your dr. how your RXs will affect you after surgery. I was advised to take Prevacid before I take the Celebrex for arthritis. Best of luck to you!
