kiki1196 101 Posted May 4, 2013 No drain, no catheter, no vomiting for me. Didn't even have horrible gas pains. Don't worry, I know it's hard not to, believe me I did enough worrying for all of us. Everyone has different experiences but most of us came out ok. It's a great new life!
jlobyxmas 38 Posted May 4, 2013 I understand your dad's objections, my family didnt want me to do it either. But they can't make the decision it is up to you. The nausea and vomiting were the first two days for me. Some don't have it at all. Just being honest I definitely questioned my decision the first few days when everyone said they were feeling great . And the post-op diet so far sucks, but I think this is gonna work...a few bites and I'm full, not always feeling hungry. I'm only one week out but feel like I made the right decision. Good luck! Ktishernamo 10 Posted May 4, 2013 that is another thing' date=' I have never had a catheter, which i heard those kind of suck too. I am getting so nervous, I just fear that I might be making a mistake, my Dad keeps freaking my out saying they are taking out 3/4 of your stomach and you will never get it back, never, and what if you can't ever eat anything without throwing up.. So lets put out that question, does anyone have any feedback on vomitting after eating or drinking. Please let me know. Thanks![/quote'] I had absolutely no throwing up! I got nauseous a couple of times and realized it was the pain medicine so stopped taking it! You can do this!
