Jami<3 11 Posted May 1, 2013 surgery was 4/25. It hurts me terribly bad when I sneeze or cough and sometimes laugh especially from the incision where they took the stomach out. Anyone else have this issue?

banditchic 83 Posted May 1, 2013 Great job losing 18 lbs. I was sleeved 2/18 and down 42 lbs. My biggest complaint the first 5 weeks was how tired I was. I wanted to take a nap every day. But feeling great now!
The Travel Guru 40 Posted May 1, 2013 I had bad incision pain for about three weeks, after that I was fine. No complications or any issues at all. What you are feeling is normal, esp from the incision they pulled the stomach out of. That was def the most painful.

Anyone else have this issue? When i was in the hospital they gave me a bariatric bear i could hold against my stomach when i needed to sneeze, cough, or even get up off the couch...it really helped alot...even a firm pillow would do. When I would sit I had a heating pad on my tummy and underneath a pillow that I used for coughing, sneezing and getting up. Every day gets better!
ajeeprider 94 Posted May 1, 2013 Even when I splint my belly with the cute tropical mini pillow they gave me it still stings and throbs like crazy at two of my incision sites. Today is my one week surgiversary. I do feel better and am bored out of my skull. But coughing, sneezing, bending the wrong way still burns really bad at my incisions.
