I had my month check up yesterday. It was so/so.

I was supposed to drive back home today which is 7 hours from where my doctors is located.

I have headaches, queezy rumbling stomach, not going to the bathroom. Barely getting 29 oz of fluids in.. and I sip all day long! But it hurts. acid reflux like mad even drinking Water.

I was happier before surgery.

Now I'm just miserable.

Are you taking a PPI? What did your dr say? You should not feel like this at 1 month out. You should be starting to feel a lot better. Make your dr address these issues before you go back.

I understand how you feel. I can attest to all those things you mentioned. I took Prilosec and gas x for acid reflux. Some times warms liquids help. I love my sugar fee Popsicles as well. But each day gets better. One day at a time. Try asking your physician for something for the acid reflux. At 8 weeks out I feel great. Just offering you hope and inspiration. Continue the hard work. It will pay off.

Good luck

If you not better do seek treatment from your physician. Some people just go and get iv or or whatever it takes.

Good luck

To be honest I wish I will wouldn't of done this.

I didn't know how shitty id feel!

Thought life would be great.

Now I have no life.

I would of let my life be and kept working and changed my bad diet habits which wasn't fast food or junk. It was once a day meal. Work.

Now I regret not trying a little harder.

Now I'm sick every day.

Feel like death.

Inside and out.

:-(

More depressed now then ever.

Headaches, throwing up, queezy, pain.

Dehydration will cause headaches. Not sure if this is your case, but I hope you get to feeling better soon.

What's done is done. Do what you can to get the liquid in. Get a PPI (acid blocker). Once you are hydrated you will feel so much better. With an acid blocker you will be able to drink without pain. Do it, try.

Ya what's done is done.

And now I'm failing BC I don't feel good. I see narrow ended tunnel, black and cold...

I'll never recommend this procedure to anyone. Ever.

Never let something imperfect in my life affect me to make a drastic change that wasn't even healthy.

This life style isn't healthy!

Can't eat or drink.

Starve and die.

It isn't an unhealthy lifestyle. You HAVE to get your fluids in. Severe dehydration will create all of these problems you're experiencing and more. Go to the ER and get fluids before an ambulance has to take you there. You're experiencing the buyer's remorse that all of us deal with at one time or another. It's awful, I know. I nearly died from a leak. But even with my near experience I can't say I would never recommend this procedure for others. I recommend research and deep soul searching before a drastic decision is made. But as a previous poster said what's done is done! I promise, once you get your fluids in things will start getting easier. Set a timer. Drink 2oz every few minutes. Lots of people do that shortly afte surgery to insure they get their Water.

I also suggest seeing a psychiatrist or therapist that specializes in weight loss. Its a lot to deal with. A HUGE life change. You don't have to go regularly, but a session or two may give a few food coping mechanisms :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
