Just wanted to post a bathing suit suggestion for all of us that are battling loose skin. The Miracle Suit is very flattering, has lots of choices & a massive amount of spandex (it's seriously like a girdle!). I bought one last year at a yard sale for $1 in a 14 hoping to wear it this summer, I've been wearing it to the Y since November., so I need a new one for the summer. I found Miracle Suits at Marshall's for $35, retail price is $110-$150. I also spotted Spanx Assets bathing suits at Target, & they seriously got the spandex going on!

Many of them have underwire bras to help support the girls as well!

Attaching a picture of my $1 yard sale special! (Not me in the picture! Lol)

Unless it comes in a neck to ankle style it's not going to be on my body ;-)

I have a very different way of thinking than most people that are overweight or have loose skin. Even at my highest weight I still wore a bikini to public pools and beaches. I've always had the frame of mind that "if you don't like what you see then quit looking at it"! I never let my weight be my "excuse" for not living. I was the one that I'm sure many people looked at and said "she must not have a friend to tell her not to wear that" or "she shouldn't be wearing a bikini with all that going on" BUT I am a sun worshipper and never let anyone's opinion stop me from enjoying the things I wanted to do. I look around me and see that everyone has faults and nobody is perfect. I've yet to see anyone that didn't have their own issues of some sort. I am not without embarrassment or insecurities or inhibitions it's just that I look past them and try my hardest to ignore them. Now that we all have had the VSG and working to try to look physically better it's imperative to work on our minds and thoughts too. GO AHEAD AND PUT THAT BATHINGSUIT ON! You look FABULOUS just the way you are!

I am almost 2 years out-- I am lucky with no loose skin-- but still not thrilled about my bod in a bathing suit! Maybe I will be brave and post a pic or 2 after my trip to Florida in the end of may!

I just got this suit from Kohl's. It has "ruching" on the front so it hides my tummy flab (and stretch marks). The little skirt bottom was a separate piece that I loved. It hides more stretch marks and loose upper thigh skin.

This is really cute! I love the little skirts too. That's what I wear with a tankini top.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
