jgarnick 16 Posted April 29, 2013 My surgery is scheduled for 2 weeks from today and I'm getting REALLY nervous. I hope everything goes ok. I find myself praying alot and looking at my small children and hoping that I'm doing the right thing. Please tell me this is normal - I feel like I'm going crazy. 1 ccrim03 reacted to this
thinathart 197 Posted April 29, 2013 Follow your Dr.'s follow up advice and you'll do AWESOME! The sleeve is a great tool, but it comes with strict instructions to maximize it's purpose. Can't wait to see you on the losers bench. I think everyone is nervous about surgery, but it will be worth it. It so has been for me. 1 kckitty reacted to this
kathp 81 Posted April 29, 2013 Mine is May 13, too. I know this is right. I'm freaked out, but that's normal. The nurse case manager says those that don't freak out are the ones they worry about! Think about living longer and healthier and more active for those kids and being there to see their kids! You can do it! 1 kckitty reacted to this
kckitty 13 Posted April 30, 2013 I can't say that you are not crazy, but I know I had more concerns about this surgery just pre-op than I have ever had, so understand. Maybe because it is really an elective surgery, to a point. Not elective when I consider that I have been overweight nearly my entire adult life, and I am 65. I look forward to being able to play and dance and hike more, and live longer! Keep your eye on the prize.
