skinnygirlinside 60 Posted April 29, 2013 I am able to eat on some days up to about 6 oz. at a time. Today was only able to get 3 oz of chicken in at lunch. But I do have days where I can take in more. Is this normal? Any feed back would be great!
brandy88 151 Posted April 29, 2013 So meals I can eat more than others, depends on food and how long since I ate. I'm 7 weeks out and some days I feel really hungry and others normal.
rdt210 82 Posted April 29, 2013 At one of my support groups, our coordinator (she's a nurse) told us that when we get stressed our esophagus restricts - she said this could be the reason why we can eat more some days than others. I had never heard that and though it was very interesting.
rdt210 82 Posted April 29, 2013 I went back to look at the handout, and here's what it says: "One theory related to food tolerance in bariatric patients, is sometimes eating may be a stressful situation and not only do neck muscles tighten, but also esophageal muscles." (Helps to explain why one day a food is tolerated and another day it is not.)
