Trish5261 2 Posted April 28, 2013 Hi all. I was sleeved 14 days ago. Im embarassed to admit im only 5'6 and on my surgery date i weighed 293! I decided to get sleeved after my first trip abroad. The flight was hell bc the seat seemed so small & we did so much walking i felt i couldnt keep up. I was miserable. Ive yoyo-ed my whole life but never was this big. Im happy that as of today im down 19 lbs! However im terrfied of never being a normal weight. Any advice would be helpful. Oh im 33, mom of an 11 yr old boy & currently reside in NYC. Thanks!!! MomOf2Boys 9 Posted April 29, 2013 Congrats on your life changing decision! I'm so glad that I made it! I have the energy I need to keep up with my 6 & 4 year old boys and I feel great. I was sleeved 1/21/13 and I am halfway to my goal, it is so exciting! My advice is to start exercising as soon as possible! Take advantage of the first 3 to 6 months, that is when people lose the most of their excess weight (from what I've read). I for one am trying to get into good habits now, so when the weight loss slows down I will not have to try to start working out. I am training for my first 5K, me the chubby girl training for a 5K...it is all so exciting!
