Fiddleman 4,376 Posted April 28, 2013 Sitting on the back deck enjoying my first beer post op. 50 lbs since 2/12/13 so this is a treat that I'm not going to feel bad about. Sam's summer... Delish. And FILLING!!! According to your DOS, you are about 2.5 months post op. How does the carbonation in the beer feel to your sleeve? Does it go down ok or do you get tight in the chest? I had my first post op white wine at month 6. today I can enjoy a long island, but only one. i have a drink about every 2-3 weeks when out with my brother or friends. As long as you are following the alcohol guideline of your doctor and it is not causing you pain, then kudos for you, especially if you are in part of the country where it is sizzling hot today. Not here in Seattle though. 50 f and drizzly. It was actually cold outside yesterday and I had to wear a heavy coat!

Alikfield 48 Posted April 29, 2013 It was 1:30 pm eastern time. 10:30 am is Bloody Mary time!!! Well for those of you who wanted an update... I could only drink half (little less then half actually). It tasted great but made me feel really full and burp like crazy. So that's it for beer. I might have an occasional sip of my husbands in the future! It's hard for me to believe this would actually be something I would say but I don't think I'll miss it. I would rather feel and look good over having a beer. 1 Amie reacted to this

nanaspez 58 Posted April 29, 2013 Today I drank my 1st whole beer. It was a Cornita 7oz! I never liked the taste of beer prior to my surgery and after my surgery I CRAVED it. I've had sips here and there, but not a whole small bottle by myself. So being a beautiful warm day, Tuesday being my 6mo mark and my son coming over I thought I'd try one and it was so good. I had no problems with carbonation
