Blue dye leak test, perhaps? I didn't use Dr. PDL but I'm thinking its a typo for the leak test.

Oh yes! That's probably what it is. Dr. P does use the blue dye test before the swallow study.

Yes. I tried to do 2 weeks but just couldn't! I kept cheating :'( ... you have to adhere to the 3 day yogurt and Water only though! No cheating. It about killed me!!!!!! I'm not going to lie, it was rough. I also didn't realize until the last second that u can't eat any yogurt with anything in it! Not even tiny seeds. That's hard to find!

I remember that feeling!!!! Honestly I didn't relax until I got back home and realized that I had a good trip. I do think Trish made all the difference though. I couldn't have even navigated the city without her. I'm 2 months post op as of yesterday. :-) Feel free to ask any questions to eas ur fears. :-)

I haven't been very happy with Trish. I just still seem like I'm lost with it all. She doesn't return emails and ill text and ask a question and she beats around the bush seems like. I sent her a text two days ago and haven't heard back from her. I have no idea what time my surgery is or anything and it's Thursday.

That would be very stressful. I hope you find some peace of mind.

I got the same thing in the beginning. It was very frustrating. But once we got there she explained herself a little more. I'll see what i can do about getting her to contact you.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
