For gas from the surgery itself, I think the only real cure is walking. I personally didn't have any gas pains, but I think I was just lucky. Gas-X will work for gas IN your sleeve, but I don't think for the gas that was pumped into your abdominal area during surgery.

Mine were worse the first week, but they lasted well into the 2nd and 3rd week, but they got easier each day. I found that drinking carbonated Water mixed with regular water helped some with releasing the gas.
