Recommended Posts

My one year surgiversery was on 4-24. I have been at goal for about a week or two. I have lost over #130! I started at 297 and am now 165. At 5'7" I am right at a bmi of 25. I am normal weight!!!! I have not been this small since 18 and I am now 37. I am so happy and plan to have a Tummy Tuck with a breast lift and augmentation in September. Attached are my official before and after pics. The first pics are day of surgery and the last are today

Congrats! Well done on achieving your goal weight! Are u finding that u are still losing? or has weight loss stopped now? Curious as I am 6 months out and nearly at GW and I like to set myself goals :) ... was it hard to lose the last 20lbs?

Thank you! I lost 100 by 6 months and it tool the next 6 months to loose 30. It took me the last three months to loose about 15. So far I am working on maintaining but I won't know how successful I am until after Tom as most of my weight loss happens after that ever month.

Thanks all! I do feel great! I have lots if extra skin... My Bali cami does a great job hiding the skin. My arms aren't too bad but I don't think I will be wearing sleeveless too often. My stomach is really bad due to the weight, a set if full term twins and a third child. I can't wait for my tt in September!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
