devonmae 56 Posted April 27, 2013 How is everyone doing today? Yesterday i got 43g of Protein and 60 oz of Water. Took pain meds 5 Times and took a 15 minute walk. Last night was my best night of sleep, took pain meds before bed but didn't need any in the middle of the night. So far today I've taken one dose of pain meds and already got in 20g of protein. It only took me an hour to drink a slim fast. My goals for today are getting my 60g of protein, 60oz of fluids and go for a walk. I also want to get down to 3 doses of pain meds. Thinking about making some Jello to get used to things with a little more thickness.
jgcraftmom 41 Posted April 27, 2013 I'm surprised your doctor lets you have Slim Fast. Mine said it was a no no because of the sugar. Glad to hear you are doing better!!
patsybrown 20 Posted April 27, 2013 I'm April 22 also. I can't drink Slimfast either. Sugar too high! But, you do what you were told and keep up the good work!!
devonmae 56 Posted April 27, 2013 I'm drinking the low carb high Protein slim fast it has only 2g net carbs. It's a good thing I can tolerate them because i got the sample pack of the Syntrax cause i heard some people can't tolerate milk based stuff afterward and i haven't had one i like yet. angelawr 0 Posted April 27, 2013 Hello! This is my first post, so I hope I'm replying correctly! I too was sleeved April 22nd, and I am not taking in anywhere near the Protein or Water you mentioned. I try to add Protein Powder to the Soup I eat, but I'm unable to take in more 5 or 6 tablespoons of soup/liquid at a time. Any suggestions? Thanks!
naturally_bad77 26 Posted April 27, 2013 I was sleeved on 4/22 too! Can't have Slim Fast either. I haven't took any pain meds or anything else other than my prenatal Vitamins and Vitamin D. I am sick of Protein Shake , popsicles, and chicken broth though....
devonmae 56 Posted April 27, 2013 I keep a jug of Water with me everywhere I go even if it's just from the couch to the bed. I'm sipping constantly. I also had a cup of strained cream of chicken Soup tonight. I've only hit 46g of Protein but I've gotten my fluids in. I'm done for the night with food! I think I'll save the Jello for tomorrow! Gonna take pain meds and go to bed soon!

axd0424 33 Posted April 28, 2013 I haven't been good with the Protein. My doctor isn't concerned about it for the first 2 weeks. The main goal is to get liquid in
axd0424 33 Posted April 28, 2013 Sorry. Sleeved 4-
devonmae 56 Posted April 28, 2013 They told me try to follow the rule of 60:60. 60g of Protein 60oz of fluids. They told me it could take a couple weeks to get to that but that is the goal. I am on full liquids for 1-2 weeks depending on how i tolerate them. I also don't start my Vitamins and actigall until my post op check on Tuesday. I am taking my pepcid cause it's a small pill and B12 because it is sublingual.< /p>
patsybrown 20 Posted April 28, 2013 I've read that getting the Protein in is so important because it keeps your energy up. GNC brand has 35mg each. I mix the vanilla with the chocolate and strawberry to cut the taste a little. So, I get 2 down and I feel good with that. Question... Does anyone feel colder than usual??
