TheRealMeIsHere! 863 Posted April 27, 2013 NEVER, in my life, did I think I would say those words!! My goal was 115, when I hit 120, I considered myself close enough and figured the other 5 lbs would just happen. I am now 112lbs. That is still a normal BMI, but how do I keep from going lower? I physically cannot eat more, I don't want to add junk food just to boost calories. I'm still only eating my Protein because my tummy can only hold 1/2 cup at a time. That means only occasional bites of veggies/fruits and rare bites of pasta/potatoes/bread/rice. 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
kyllfalcon 768 Posted April 27, 2013 I had to add carbs and high calorie foods to stop losing. Sigh.... I am forced to eat ice cream every day... 15 Cheer Mama, Afrodite82, Spatters3 and 12 others reacted to this
lizv123 389 Posted April 27, 2013 I would start adding more calories and healthy fats. Don't buy low cal junk and maybe cut back a little on the Protein to add a few more bites of fruits/veggies/carbs. 3 Ms skinniness, Afrodite82 and Pelekania reacted to this

MichiganChic 3,262 Posted April 27, 2013 Never having had this experience, I can only offer clinical experience. But the answer is simple, take in a few more calories. My experience as a nurse is to have you add a few calories by adding a little dry milk to Soups, add some Protein Powder to foods, have one extra snack like a cheese stick, use full fat dairy, or add a little healthy fats to foods. It's easy to add calories, but the trick is to add them with the appropriate nutrional value. And if all else fails, a little ice cream every day isn't a bad plan 5 Pelekania, Ms skinniness, Afrodite82 and 2 others reacted to this
It's all new 453 Posted April 28, 2013 You are going to keep losing if you don't change your diet to maintain - at least that is my experience. An extra snack or two, slightly less meat in favor of something higher calorie (only if you are still meeting your Protein needs), an extra Protein shake, adding carbs - some or all of those may be needed. Avocado, nuts, and cheese. Full fat dairy. Etc. I've had to do it - I'm at 124-126 lbs and 5'6". There is no choice for me but to eat more than just meat unless I want to keep losing. It's scary, the transition feels almost like starting over. 3 Ms skinniness, Threetimesacharm and jh5497 reacted to this

Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted April 28, 2013 Agree with others that you should have more snacks: nuts, cheese and fruit, Protein, veggies. Have a Protein Shake with fruit. There are many ways to add healthy calories, you can do it. 4 Ms skinniness, ProudGrammy, Pelekania and 1 other reacted to this

If I eat less protein to add other foods, I won't even be close to my protein goals. I'm BARELY reaching them now.
TheRealMeIsHere! 863 Posted April 28, 2013 I am also waiting for a reply from my Surgeon's nurse and NUT. Was thinking maybe a Protein Ensure to replace the EAS AdvantEdge that I have for Breakfast everyday. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted April 28, 2013 There are many options to seize weight loss. You say you are only doing Proteins, what are you eating for Protein? Your body really needs a broader nutritional spectrum. Try adding nuts to your diet. They are a great source of health fats. You also really need dark green leafy veggies. Have you tried adding freshly made green smoothies to your diet? Last resort, if you do actually reach a point that you are significantly underweight there is Boost VHC (very high calorie) it packs over 500calories into 8oz shake. I really think that if you concentrate on rounding out your diet, your body will regulate itself to a healthy weight. 4 ProudGrammy, Pelekania, Kalimomof3 and 1 other reacted to this
lsereno 2,525 Posted April 28, 2013 Hi The Real Me, What is your Protein goal? What does your daily diet look like? I see you are having a shake for breakfast. Are you eating solid Protein at lunch and dinner? Do you eat a snack between meals? When was your surgery date? Lynda 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
