READY TO LOSE IT 91 Posted April 26, 2013 None of my clothes fit! But this time I'm happy about it. It used to be that none of them fit because they were too small now they are too big! These to piles are just from my dresser. The closet is next! I've gone from a 22 to a 14 and even a few 12 in 5 1/2 months but im not done yet. Ive been shopping but I don't want to by to much because im hoping to get to a comfortable 10 or maybe even an 8. I have NEVER been a single digit so that doesn't even seem possible but I will just keep plugging along. jacquelynn.mclean 103 Posted April 26, 2013 I haven't had my surgery yet (April 29, 2013) but I've already given my winter clothes away instead of packing them up. My boyfriend is more excited about clothes shopping than I am...but I've already started the purge.
Ima Loser 197 Posted April 26, 2013 I think I am going to closet purge this weekend... Throw away/dontate all my out of season clothes... Most of them are already too big as it is... I know in Oct/Nov they will be really big!
melodymouse 196 Posted April 26, 2013 Look for a local support group and ask if they have a clothing exchange. It is a great way to help fellow losers on their way down!
marfar7 1,533 Posted April 26, 2013 Ha ha! I JUST purged my closet and am about to start on my dresser! Three garbage ags full of clothes to donate to Goodwill! Instead of giving them to the Goodwill (which charges way too much for FREE items that they get), have you thought of donating them to someone on this site? I shipped clothes to Houston, TX and to Nebraska. They just paid for shipping. I know it's easier to pack them up and drop them off at the Goodwill, but know that people in need have to pay like $8 for a pair of jeans that they got for free. There's a clothing exhange forum on the general forums list. Just a suggestion... 1 SqueakyWheel&Ethyl reacted to this
Flutterby 98 Posted April 26, 2013 I'm still waiting on my surgery date... hopefully by the end of May or some time in June I'll be sleeved. But doing the closet purge is one the most favorite things I look forward to. I have thought I may go to Goodwill to shop for smaller clothes at the same time I'm dropping off my donations. Sometimes they have some very decent things to buy and in our area are very inexpensive. I'm thinking that way, I won't have to shell out lots of money on new smaller transition clothes that I'll end up bringing right back to donate as I lose more weight... lol. Then, when I get within 20 lbs of goal, my hubby has promised to hire a stylist and get me a whole new wardrobe... never in my life have I been so excited about something like that... 1 SqueakyWheel&Ethyl reacted to this
