OK friends. I need empathy or sympathy:( I finally reached 49 pounds lost yesterday! Great--right? Then I ate bad stuff all day. I was afraid to weigh this morning and to top it all off, I didn't go to exercise this morning. Any answers out there?

PS Barb said she wouldn't be able to meet this coming Monday but that was before we thought up Tai Chi.

Betsy, did you get the outfit? I know Barb said she was going to get it Saturday.

Ha! Congratulations! Whatdjado...celebrate all day with food? Sorry.

I know for me, sometimes when I hit a milestone, I take a day off and pig out, and then I get right back to work in a day or two. Sounds like you might have done the same. Don't kick yourself....Enjoy your mini vacation. Now get back to being healthy. If you're really lucky, the shock to your system will have stimulated some more weight loss.

I haven't signed up yet. I hired a maid service to Spring clean my house. I don't dare leave them. So far, they've broken the tempered glass in my refrigerator shelf, and one of them cut herself on her own cleaning equipment and bled on the rug.

HA! I found that cleaning ladies help me to get rid of collectables really quickly. I think I shall bring them in before the big move. Great way to get rid of clutter:) And yes I did Celebrate with food. I guess it's the thing I like best--how sad. Maybe I should just stop weighing. FAT CHANCE!

I'm going Saturday to register and get my uniform. It only costs $30 and I could use them I guess. Let's meet at Humble Cafe at 6:15 for dinner. That way I can come in my new outfit or change back to my street clothes. I don't really care and it might be fun to show up in my black PJs. Dick has his meeting on Mondays so it works for me.

We just got back from Fiesta Aztec on W. Lake Houston. the food was good, but it is very noisy. The marguertias were exceptional so I'm stress free for the night. :)

Lana congrats on the weight loss. Enjoy it and get back with the program. I was still on liquids so I think my drinks were legal. :)

Hey thanks Barb! I needed that. I'll try to get by and get my black PJ's too. Humble City Cafe sounds like a nice change of pace and it's dark in there--maybe no one will notice we are dressed in PJ's:)

OK bikergrammy you can't be our holdout. Why don't you try Tai Chi with us? If that's not for you then meet us at Humble Cafe Monday at 6:15. Wear black PJ's. :)

I'm all signed up. I only did it for a month to see if I like it. I got my black PJs, but they are more like cardboard. I hope they soften up after a few washings. I told them there was a 3 of us for Monday. Hope you all don't chicken out on me as I now have my PJs. :Banane43:

My plan is to come. Did they have plenty of sizes of PJ's? I'm worried they won't fit--kind of like the mother of the Groom dress:) Did you try them on?

Yes I tried one set on. It fit. You will need to wear like a tee shirt under the top. Socks or bare feet on the feet. They are rather stiff so if you can go by early and wash them you will be more comfortable. If you can't get there early to get home and wash them wear black exercise pants. that should get you by the first night. You can wear them like they are, but I just find them stiff.

I got mine, and also signed up for a month. I washed my pjs with plenty of fabric softener, and the came out just as stiff! I may wash them over and over between now and Monday.....

I watched a guy getting a private Tai Chi lesson and it was so elegant. I'm psyched!

They have stacks and stacks of uniforms. No problem.

I'm washing mine now. I might just keep washing them. The guy told me that soften with wear. Ha! You have to get them on first! Did you put them in the dryer or let them drip dry? I watched a class for a few minutes on Saturday. No music, no instruction, just doing. I wonder how long before we can do that? It should be fun.

It's surprisingly comfitable, even as stiff as a board. I drip dried, since it says not to put them in the dryer. I'll probably fill the washer with Water and softener and just let them soak.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
