CoreyCan 95 Posted April 25, 2013 POD8 and I am one moody, cranky, nasty woman. Stopped smoking, drinking (temporarily) and eating. I know it will get better, but right now I'm not happy

NeverBeTheSameAgain 241 Posted April 25, 2013 So how long do u have to stop smoking before and after the surgery?
CoreyCan 95 Posted April 25, 2013 I do recognize it and I can't seem to change it right now. I quit smoking 4 days before my surgery. Should have done what I told my doctor I did which should have been about 6 weeks before my surgery. Then I'd be over it and just dealing with this alone. Ok I'm sick of hearing myself whine
nanaspez 58 Posted April 26, 2013 I was on a emotional roller coaster for about 2 mos. Yikes giving up smoking and this surgery, no wonder why your miserable. Hope things get better soon for you
sharonintx 1,275 Posted April 26, 2013 It happened to me too. Nothing pleased me and everyone seemed to be quite annoying. It still happens now when I get tired. It got better after 5-6 weeks. At this point I still tire easily and get kind of grumpy. It will get better though - hang in there.
Chellemetime 299 Posted April 26, 2013 Oh, yea! I was not in a good mood until I could finally have solids. Who would be? You can't eat anything but you can sure still smell it! The only thing I can say is hang in there. Once your able to start eating solid foods it does get better and better. I'm 4 1/2 months out and the sleeve was the best thing I've ever done for myself. Just hang it there!
